Heels.com taps Akamai

Akamai Technologies Inc., an Internet content delivery services, Cambridge-based provider, said that heels.com, Web retailer that sells designer women's shoes, use Akamai to accelerate and improve the performance of services to its online shoe store.

Heels.com-site offers a shoe it sells video.

"Enterprise database and Web servers are constantly stressed the importance of real-time data, serving up to 22,000 visitors per day," Akamai said in a press release.

"As a matter of fact, the bottlenecks in the past have led to the end of the poor site performance took 30 seconds. [1] [2] Pages load and, in some cases, customers will not be able to use the website in all .... heels.com chose to deal with the Akamai site performance, better online shopping experience and a reduction in the achievement of the objectives of the stress of the database."
